Career Highlights
2005: Won the Lea County Fair and Rodeo (Lovington, N.M.), the Hamel Rodeo and Bull Ridin' Bonanza (Hamel, Minn.), the Sand and Sage Roundup (Lamar, Colo.), the Yuma County Fair and Rodeo (Wray, Colo.) and was fifth in the short round and sixth in the average at Cheyenne Frontier Days (Cheyenne, Wyo.).

Amateur Status: National High School Finals Rodeo Qualifier, 1997.

Grew up with a strong agricultural background. I am in partnership with my mom, B.J. Griffin of Leather Design custom leather.

Jake always wears the hat of a champion with pride and does his best at whatever path he takes in life. He has a sister, Windy and two brothers, Jim Bob, a former PRCA saddle bronc rider and Jess, a former PRCA bullfighter. He wears chaps with pink accents at any "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" performance. He competes in these chaps to show his support for the cure of cancer.

Personal Goals: The ultimate goal of this young man is to compete at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. He works each day at being a World Champion in the rodeo arena, as well as in the arena of life.
